What happened is one of our corporations, as you know, DigiDMS is a 2014 certified product, so when we started marketing almost 10-12 years ago and we got several hundreds of clinics using it Nationwide, we realized that providing technology alone is not what drives the process improvement, Okay? Yes you could have a great software, but process improvement is about hand-holding and plugging in the areas in which they have a concern.
For example, I was just talking to a big cardiology group last week. They have several employee turnovers and their physicians are always complaining that they never find diagnostic reports; they never find hospital records in the EHR. Why? Because their entire scanning process is backed up. The staff who is in the medical records are constantly busy with other assignments, all pulled over from one place to another, hence almost 2000-3000 documents being scanned in are just sitting there not being attached to charts.
Now what happens here? Who is going to do that? Now they have identified there is a lack of resources, they know they do not have a team in place, and they definitely need those records as of yesterday. Correct? This is just one element. There are several such elements around practice management that we’ve found. While everyone is selling an EHR or selling a revenue cycle management, nobody is selling a solution around an EHR and an RCM to combine one uniform flow of activities, and that is where the whole concept of Clinicspectrum was born, where we said okay, you know what? What is your issue? Does the EHR process B2B eligibility verifications? What about the ones that you cannot do from EHR?, We can do it all.
